Him
Directed by Justin Tipping
The production used a Flir 1020 camera to capture thermal imagery, which we translated into our pipeline to develop the look and allow for creative control in the final image. CG and compositing teams layered skeletal structures, nervous systems, and muscle tissue onto the thermal imagery. A range of compositing techniques and color palettes were tested before reaching final unnerving look. Additional set extensions expanding the training compound, while practical gore was enhanced with blood FX and gruesome body horror.
